Unable to sign in to FLOEM
Problem
When signing in to FLOEM, the following message appears:
An error occurred while signing in. Please check your connection and try again.
The FLOEM login page may load normally, but the sign-in process does not complete.
Most likely cause
This message usually means that the browser cannot establish a connection to the CLEMAP API.
This can happen when a company firewall, proxy server, VPN, DNS filter or other network security system blocks the connection. The FLOEM website and the CLEMAP API use different domains, so it is possible for the login page to load while the actual sign-in request is blocked.
The following CLEMAP domains must be accessible:
Both services use standard HTTPS traffic on port 443.
Troubleshooting
Please try the following steps:
- Connect your device to a different network, such as a mobile hotspot or your home network.
- Open FLOEM in a private or incognito browser window.
- Clear the browser cache and cookies.
- Temporarily disconnect from any VPN.
- Try a different browser or device.
If signing in works through a mobile hotspot or another network, the issue is most likely caused by a restriction in your company network.
Information for your IT department
Please ask your IT department to verify that outbound HTTPS connections on port 443 are permitted for:
- floem.clemap.com
- api.clemap.com
They should also check whether a firewall, proxy, SSL inspection service, DNS filter or web security solution is blocking cross-domain requests between these services.
