ABB Terra AC

Only ABB Terra AC charging stations that support Modbus TCP can be controlled by CLEMAP Load Management. It is recommended to check with the manufacturer whether the selected charging station model supports Modbus TCP.

We are currently working on integrating the ABB Terra AC chargers via OCPP.

ABB can only be load balanced by LAN in the moment. WLAN is not compatible.

  • Leave DHCP switched on at the charging station and save a fixed IP address in the router.
  • Update ABB Terra to version >= 1.4.2 via Android/iOS App ABB Terra Config or ABB ChragerSync App.
  • Set charging station to "Multiple Chargers" mode via ABB Terra Config Android/iOS App (not possible with ABB ChragerSync App).
    • NOTE: App communicates via bluetooth with the charging station, but the phone must still have a data connection.
    • Communicate via BlueTooth with the charging station to enable Modbus TCP.
    • Please disable LAN and WLAN connections.
    • NOTE: After a LAN activation, the modbus configuration is forgotten. Therefore you have to set it every time. It simportant for modbus connection to work that LAN and WLAN connections are deactivated.

  • Fill the fixed IP Address of your ABB station and the gateway of the network (Please note that this values are only an example):

  • Please make sure that the clemap device is connected on the network and already has the assigned ip address and port (502) of the ABB station. Else there will be an error from the ABB side.

We have encountered issues with the terraconfig app. If your configuration is not saved, please update the app or try with another device. Android presents trouble sometimes, while iOS seemes to be working fine.
