There are four different license models for Load Management devices:

1. **FREE** license
2. **BASIC** license
3. **BASIC+** license
4. **PRO** license

Depending on the number of charging plugs, the type of charging plug, or the functions used, you will need different licenses.

**Important**: Licenses are assigned per charging plug. Within the same installation, you can configure a different license model for each charging station.

For installations with up to five charging plugs, you can use the **FREE** license free of charge. This license is configured by default on every device.

For installations with six or more charging plugs, you need the **BASIC** license. A one-time activation fee per charging plug applies, but there are no recurring costs. The BASIC license additionally includes further functionality, for example the monitoring and control of static circuits, the **cascading of CLEMAP Load Management** (main and secondary device), and access via the REST API.

If you additionally want to use **PV-optimized charging** (self-consumption optimization with PV surplus), the connection to compatible energy management systems (e.g. SolarManager), or dynamic electricity tariffs and spot-market integration, you need the **BASIC+** license. A one-time activation fee applies here as well, but no recurring license fees.

For advanced functionality — such as the connection of DC charging stations, prioritization, the dynamic monitoring of individual circuits via third-party metering, or long-term data storage — you need a **PRO** license. In addition to the activation fees, license fees also apply here, billed either annually or as a one-time payment.
