This page helps you choose the optimal data plan for using our product, **CLEMAP Load Management**, with a router with a SIM card.

### Data plan requirements

To use CLEMAP Load Management effectively, it is important to have a data plan that meets the following requirements:

### Connection speed

The required connection speed varies depending on the type of installation. The data requirements differ considerably between an installation with a few locally connected charging stations via ModbusTCP and one with many charging stations controlled via the cloud. Here are some general guidelines:

- **Small installation**: For an installation with a maximum of 5 charging stations via ModbusTCP, a SIM card with a speed of 0.5 Mbit/s and no data limit is sufficient.
- **Medium installation**: If the installation includes charging stations controlled via the cloud (e.g. Charge Amps, Easee or Zaptec), a SIM card with a speed of at least 1 Mbit/s and no data limit is recommended.
- **Large installation**: For installations with more than 10 charging stations, a SIM card with a speed of 10 Mbit/s and no data limit is recommended.
- **Larger installation**: For installations with 50 or more charging stations, up to 10 MB per station per day can be used when using the cloud.

### Data limit

It is strongly recommended to choose a data plan **without restrictions** to avoid service interruptions due to exhausted data.

### Data consumption

Data consumption varies considerably depending on the type of installation and the number of updates required. In some cases, consumption can amount to several GB per month.
